Adventist Health Glendale Children’s Center

kids giving "thumbs up"The Adventist Health Glendale Children’s Center has been providing employee and community families with high quality childcare since 1984. The Children’s Center is in an independent building, located at the northeast corner of the Adventist Health Glendale campus. Children spend their days in the Children’s Center utilizing an environment that encourages and enhances their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Our program philosophy is play-based, and our teachers utilize the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum along with a few additional supportive curriculum addendums to provide optimal opportunities for child growth and preparation for their future social and academic success. Parents and teachers enjoy an app-based communication platform, so parents have in real time information about their child’s day at their fingertips via their tablet or mobile phone. Ongoing child observations are shared throughout the year, and biannual child assessments are completed, along with many additional supportive services for families throughout the year. The Children’s Center holds two licenses through the California Department of Social Services to serve children ages six weeks through five years.

About NAEYC Accreditation

naeyc accredited logoOur Infant - Toddler and Preschool Programs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and have maintained this accreditation since 1999. The criteria for this accreditation are carefully assessed across all standards of the care and the care environment. These standards include guidelines for teaching, curriculum, safety standards, physical environments and administrative practices and protocols. NAEYC Accreditation ensures that programs are safe, well prepared, and intentional about ensuring child successes and outcomes while fostering positive relationships with families. Currently only about 10 – 12 percent of childcare programs are accredited in the nation. For more information about NAEYC accreditation, you may visit the organization’s family resource site.
